Today was my final workshop with Jay. I have really enjoyed trying Cinema 4D throughout the year and this was something new to me. I thought our final workshop would be this same software but instead, we were introduced to Premiere Pro. I was very excited to get stuck in as I have been working with After Effects which is a similar type of software and really enjoyed this so far.

Today was my final workshop with Sara. We were working on a showreel to showcase all the work that we have done in the workshops. I was really excited for this as I am really proud of my work from this year and the skills I have gained so it will be nice to visualise my work again after not seeing it from the workshop. One thing I wanted to do for the showreel was to include my branding in some way as my colours are dark grey and yellow, I decided to use this colour scheme and my logo in the corner at the start and end of the video. I used the same transition to keep it consistent and on each new clip had a piece of text to display what workshop this was from. I also labelled when I had added extra work to make it clear. I am very happy with the final outcome and how everything fits together. It makes me very proud of the skills and how far I have come on After Effects this year. Below shows the final outcome.

Our task today was to be really free and create some abstract typography. We had two sizes of paper to work with, a craft knife, boards to sit beneath the paper while we used the craft knife and black paint only.

In my workshop with Jay, we were introduced to modelling and how to create characters that could be printed on the 3D printer. I was really excited to try this as I have always wondered how this could be done.

In my workshop with Sara our reference was to focus on data and animating this in a short 10 second animation. We started off by choosing our phrase based on the data from the football museum. I choose the following:
“Women were already playing football before the war. The first recorded home international match between England and Scotland took place in Edinburgh in 1881. / The British Ladies Football Club was founded in 1895.”
